Documentary collection

It offers to the exporter a degree of security in the transaction as the Bank keeps the documents at their counters and releases them only against payment on a sight basis or at maturity. Documentary collections are subject to Uniform Rules for Collections (URC), ICC Publication No. 522.

Documentary credit for exporters

When your company uses a documentary collection, the documents can be delivered to your buyer only after he has paid the amount due or signed a bill of exchange that falls due at maturity.
